  • Oversee incident investigations,Root Cause Analysis, and follow-up to ensure timely closure ofCorrective Actions.
  • Provide HSE training tofacility personnel, includingmanagement.
  • Champion the Management of Change(MoC) procedure/process.
  • Actively participatesin frequent facility HSE walkthroughs, reviews, andaudits.
  • Complete internal audits and adviseManagement on corrective actionsrequired.
  • Provide timely and effective liaisonwith all site personnel to review and address all aspects ofmatters related to company HSEprincipals.
  • Facilitates and actions tasks thatcorrect and/or enhance the site's HSEcompliance.
  • Act as an advisor and resource tofacility management for HSE matters.
  • Liaisewith facility management to ensure effective communication on allopen action items.
  • Conduct hazard-riskanalysis.
  • Advise on a range of specialistareas, e.g. Fire regulation, electrical regulation, hazardoussubstances and waste disposal requirements, Environmentalrequirements, safeguarding machinery and Occupationaldiseases.
  • Coordinate for Industrial hygienechecks and fulfil all requirements.
  • Maintainrecord keeping and document control requirements as outlined in HSEOperational Procedures.
  • Work closely withfacility personnels to ensure implementation of the HSE ManagementSystem (policies, procedures, andactions).
  • Maintain contractor managementrequirements.
  • To Analyse HSE trends for thelocation
  • Establish and maintain closerelationship with OSH agencies to ensurecompliance.
  • Other duties asassigned.

Essential

EDUCATIONALQULAIFICATIONS AND EXPERINCE REQUIRED:

  • Nebosh General Certificate orEquivalent
  • Safety and environmental trainingcourses are required.
  • 2 to 3 years of HSE workExperience.
  • Working Knowledge of HSE systemsi.e. ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
  • Experience inIncident investigation and completing Root causeanalysis.
  • Assessing Risks and implementingeffective risk controls
  • Experience in trainingHSE courses is considered an asset.
  • Relatedexperience is beneficial.
  • Proficiency inEnglish language
  • Proficiency in communicationskills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to workwith all levels of employees including, shop floor employees, leadpeople, supervisors, andmanagers.
