The Research Assistant and DBA Research Coordinator will play a pivotal role in supporting research activities within the DBA program. This position involves conducting statistical analyses, managing research projects, and fostering student engagement through guidance and feedback. The successful candidate will ensure the integrity of research data while contributing to the academic development of students.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conduct statistical analysis of research data using appropriate software.
  • Design and implement surveys and experiments to collect quantitative data for research projects, ensuring data quality and integrity.
  • Perform data cleaning, validation, and transformation as needed, interpreting statistical results to prepare comprehensive reports summarizing findings for students.
  • Hold regular meetings with students to discuss their progress, provide guidance, and interpret results to enhance their understanding of statistical analyses.
  • Conduct regular feedback sessions with students to discuss methodologies, address concerns, and foster a collaborative learning environment.
  • Assist researchers in planning, executing, and managing research projects related to the DBA program.
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of research projects within specific timelines, ensuring adherence to ethical standards and compliance with institutional policies.
  • Support researchers in structuring research papers, theses, dissertations, or other publications, providing insights into effective academic writing, citation styles, and manuscript preparation.
  • Assist researchers in preparing research findings for publication in academic journals, conference proceedings, or other relevant outlets, including reviewing and editing manuscripts and suggesting appropriate venues for publication.
  • Stay current with trends and developments in statistical methods and business research methodologies, participating in professional development activities as required.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., SPSS, R, or Python).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for student engagement and collaboration.
  • Knowledge of research methodologies and data collection techniques.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Familiarity with academic writing and publication processes.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to data integrity.
Education and Experience:
  • A PhD./ Master's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Maths, Research Methodology, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a research assistant or statistical role is advantageous.
  • Experience in academic writing and familiarity with publication standards is a plus.
