Job Purpose: Our Treasury functionat Emirates Group is responsible for managing the Groups financialrisks and ensuring that we have the liquidity it needs to meet ourfinancial obligations. The Treasury team also works to optimize ourfinancial performance by managing the foreign exchange interestrate and commodity risks. The successful candidate will analysefinancing proposals and provide support in the negotiation processof the financing contracts. Manage the financing negotiation /documentation process and ensure funds are available at aircraftdelivery/redelivery date or execution date for nonaircraftfinancings.

In this role you will:

  • Provide detailed analysisof the proposals for aircraft financing project financing corporatebonds and other financing facilities for the Group highlighting keyissues in a comparative matrix to be used as a managementdecisionmaking tool.
  • Prepare detailed analysisfor aircraft purchases lease extensions and aircraft residual valuerisk management including remarketing and repurchase options. Allanalysis to incorporate risk and benefits comparison with otheroptions available key variables etc.
  • Providesupport in the negotiation phase of financing mandate detailedcontract documentation and manage process to ensure funding fortimely aircraft delivery. This involves handling certain issuesdirectly with the banks / aircraft manufacturers (such asfinalisation of aircraft price cash flows termination valuesinsured values and amortisation schedules and payment mechanisms).
  • Manage aircraft delivery/redelivery processcoordinating with various stakeholders such as Group LegalEngineering Accounts Payable Aircraft manufacturer financiers andexternal counsel to ensure there is no delay in aircraftdelivery/redelivery due to nonavailability of funds.
  • Ensure all financial obligations / benefits /options / notices with corresponding dates relating to financingtransactions sale and lease backs and aircraft or engine purchaseagreements are recorded in the Treasury Management System beenapproved based on the limits defined in the Corporate TreasuryPolicy and aircraft financing structures are accounted as per IAS(International Accounting Standards) on delivery.
  • Prepare the due diligence application andother support documents as needed by the VPFinancing for meetinginvestor export credit agencies and financial institutionsrequirements for their ongoing credit assessment of Emirates Group.
  • Analyse aircraft financing long term debt andlease commitment portfolio on an ongoing basis to identify theblend of the interest/lease cost based on fixed and floatinginterest rates. Monitor the short and longterm interest ratetrends. Analyse appropriate fixed and floating interest rate mixbased on the interest rate trend.
  • Analyseeconomic viability of foreign currency / interest rate hedgingstructures proposed by the relationship counterparts from time totime. Ascertain whether the hedging proposal under evaluationqualifies for special hedge accounting treatment under IAS. Reportanalysis results outlining the proposed deal economic benefitsrisks appropriate financial market parameters accounting treatmenton a one page which would be used as a management decision makingtool.
  • Develop and maintain effectiverelationships with all internal and external stakeholders. Internalstakeholders are GL Outstations Finance & Risk ManagementAccounts Payable Payroll Cashiering and FAMs. External stakeholdersare various relationship banks PwC Internal Auditors and GovernmentAuditors.
  • Develop motivated professionals andcoach them to deliver innovative solutions suitable to the natureof Emirates Groupsoperations.

Qualifications& Experience: To be considered for this role you must meetthe below requirements:

  • Finance &Insurance/Treasury : 8 Years
  • Degree or Honours(123 or equivalent)
  • Qualified CharteredAccountant / CPA Professional experience in Finance within a largecorporation or financial institution preferably within a commercialTreasury department.

Youllhave an edge if you have:

  • Knowledge of aircraftfinancing structures preferred.
  • Stronganalytical background.
  • Expert knowledge ofExcel and other office automationsoftware.
