As our Metals Trader youwill:

  • Precious Metal Spot,forwards, swaps, and leases trading. Quoting in XAU, XAG, XPD, XPTand XRH in various currencies to facilitate franchisebusiness
  • Effectively maintain various riskpositions and manage position limits, providing liquidity toclients and markets to maximize total revenue of trading profitplus commission
  • Inventory Management &funding of the lease portfolio
  • Tradedirectional risk and DV01 risk related to the metals withinmandated risk limit
  • Communication with salesdesk and assists in resolving any settlement problems, ensuresticket entry completion and provides general trade support, asnecessary
  • Provide market analysis and commentsrelated to the metals market and technical analysis specific foreach country using market intelligence tools and know how relatedto each of the products
  • Ensures all trades arebooked to front office position keeping system on the day they areexecuted correctly with the associated lifecyclemanagement
  • Maintain high standards foraccountability and global standards, particularly with regards toFinancial Crime Compliance

For this role, HSBC targets a payrange $250,000.00

The final fixed pay offerwill depend on the candidate and a number of variables, includingbut not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth ofexperience and education, licensing/certification requirements,internal relativity, and specific worklocation.

Requirements

You´lllikely have the following qualifications to succeed in thisrole:

  • Educated to degreelevel or equivalent
  • Minimum 4 years’experience in precious metals
  • Strong knowledgeand experience in financial products and experience in dealing withcorporate and/or institutionalclients
  • Excellent verbal and writtencommunication skills as well as presentationskills
  • Ability to connect with and developrelationships with clients and internal stakeholders across bothcorporate and institutional client space and diversegeographies
  • Multilingual skill would be anadvantage (Spanish would be anadvantage)
