Senior Electrical Engineer

Job Overview Wood is recruiting for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our UAE Business Unit. This is a full‑time office‑based role in Sharjah, UAE with business trips. Key Responsibilities Execute engineering scopes of work for major oil & gas projects. Prepare and review engineering documentation, drawings and calculations. Ensure projects are completed within the budgeted time and cost constraints. Lead technical design reviews and provide expertise on complex problems. Mentor junior engineers and develop their technical skills. Assist in developing project schedules, budgets and resource allocations. Participate in site visits, project review meetings and design workshops. Apply industry codes, standards and company procedures to engineering work. Provide technical input and support for project proposals and business development. Maintain health, safety, security and environmental (HSSE) leadership on projects. Qualifications B.Sc. or equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university. Minimum of 10+ years experience in major Brownfield oil & gas projects, including at least five years in a senior position. Pre‑FEED, FEED and Detailed Engineering experience is required. Strong knowledge of GCC region lifecycle project practices. Proficient user of relevant engineering software, calculation templates and design tools. Ability to lead, motivate and mentor a team of professional engineers. Excellent problem‑solving, analytical and design skills. Effective communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Professional knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and industry regulations.
