  • AuditLeads are identified when the annual Audit Programme is prepared.The expectation is that Audit Lead will lead more audits than theyTeam Member on, and that they lead the larger and more complexaudits.
  • Audit Lead will be accountable to theSAM for the end-to-end delivery of the Audit (Scoping, Planning,Execution, Reporting and Closure) in line with GIA methodology. Itis likely that at times during the end-to-end process the AuditLead will have other activities to deliver such as planning theirnext audit and being a Team Member on otheraudits.
  • In addition to delivering the audit theAudit Lead is also responsible for uploading the Findings to thedatabase of Findings and assigning the relevant owner for eachfinding.

AuditTeamMember

  • Responsiblefor delivering the assigned audit work in line with GIA methodologywith minimal supervision and providing direct support, and whereappropriate, coaching to the Audit Lead and other teammembers.
  • Team member activities will includeExecution and may include involvement in other stages of the audit.Assigned work will routinely include being responsible fordelivering testing for lines of the test plan, writing associatedwork papers, drafting sections of the Audit Report and contributingto themes and insights.
  • Allocation as a teammember will be based on consideration of skills and capabilities ofthe individual and the audit team.
  • It is likelythat at times while operating as a team member the Audit Lead willhave other activities to deliver such as completing their previousaudit, planning their next audit etc. Other Internal Auditactivities.
  • Verifying completion of AgreedManagement Actions for Findings assigned in the database offindings that will be from audits completed/in area of businessexpertise.
  • Support quarterly reporting toManagement and the Board (e.g. ExCom and the Audit Committee). Thiscould include updating data, writing sections of reports,supporting development of insights andthemes.
  • Internal Audit continuousimprovement/transformation activities – completingassigned activities in support of theFunction.
  • Business relationships –hold relationships with relevant people in the business, up toVP/Group Head level, both verbal and written to help facilitate GIAaccess to information and people to deliver our audit work(Findings and Audits).
