JobResponsibilities:

  • Useintravenous local caudal or spinal methods to administer sedationor pain medications during surgical and other medicalprocedures
  • Supervise patients and monitor theirpain medications before during and after surgery; offset adversecomplications or reactions; record amount and type of anesthesia aswell as the patients conditions throughoutprocedures
  • Determine risk during medicalprocedures by taking medical histories examining patients andordering diagnostic procedures like xrays and laboratory tests;discuss with other healthcare professionals about the method andtype of anesthetic to make patients numb topain
  • Provide and sustain airway management andlife support during emergency surgery
  • Monitorpatients postsurgery and determine when they are stabilized enoughto move to another room or go home
  • Manageanesthesiology services and coordinate with other professionals toformulate procedures and plans; direct the duties of medicaltechnicians nurses and other healthcare supportstaff
  • Educate patients and families onpostprocedure care and possible complications; instruct ondifferent ways to prevent disease and improvehealth

Job Skills &QualificationsRequired:

  • Doctor ofMedicine degree with anesthesiologyresidency
  • Minimum of three years of experienceas an anesthesiologist
  • Specialization degree inAnesthesiology
  • Skilled at epidurals spinals andultrasoundguided regional anesthesia
  • Ability tostand for long periods oftime

Preferred:

  • Experiencein a supervisory position
  • Excellentcommunication skills
