Job Overview:

The role is responsible for performing all Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) / Computed Tomography (CT) procedures and examinations in line with M42 and Department of Health policies, procedures, guidelines and standards, to obtain the most effective identification and visual presentation of the patients anatomic structures and abnormalities. The incumbent is also responsible for operating and monitoring the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) /Computed Tomography (CT) radiographic equipment to ensure the accurate capturing and optimal quality of patients images and results. The role must be responsible to provide patient care, to perform all the diagnostic Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) /Computed Tomography (CT) radiography procedures and to have the necessary technical skills in the operation of diagnostic Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) /Computed Tomography (CT) radiographic equipment for diagnostic and evaluation purposes.

Responsibilities

  1. Conduct high-quality Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Computed Tomography (CT) scans, adjusting imaging systems for precise anatomical visualization and accurate diagnosis.
  2. Prepare and guide patients through radiologic procedures, ensuring their comfort, safety, and understanding throughout the process.
  3. Consult with radiologists and referring physicians to determine the most effective imaging techniques for diagnosis based on patient history.
  4. Ensure proper use of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) /Computed Tomography (CT) machines, Radiology Information System (RIS) / Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS) systems and troubleshoot any technical issues to maintain top-tier imaging quality.
  5. Verify patient details and imaging data in the Radiology Information System (RIS) and Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS) for seamless and precise documentation.
  6. Follow established protocols and safety guidelines, including radiation protection measures, to deliver safe and effective imaging services.
  7. Assist in training and educating radiology caregivers on equipment usage, safety protocols, and the latest imaging techniques.
  8. Monitor imaging systems, report malfunctions, and liaise with vendors and technical teams to ensure seamless operations.

Qualifications

  1. UAE National talent
  2. Bachelor's degree in a Radiography, Radiology Technology or Medical/Diagnostic Imaging program, or Diploma in Radiology or Associate degree in Radiography program
  3. Minimum of 1-2 years' experience post qualification in the relevant field
  4. Completion of specialty qualification as per the recognized specialty certificate (Department of Health guidelines)
  5. Department of Health (DOH) license holder
  6. Have valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate
