Overview Senior Accountant – Group Financial Reporting & Budgeting Responsibilities Execute closing and reconciliation of accounts and assist in preparing all financial reports Provide support in the preparation and finalization of Aldar Group yearly budget Group Reporting Execute the closing and consolidation of all ledgers and accounts on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis Reconcile Group balance sheet schedules on a timely manner and follow up with Departments and subsidiaries on outstanding issues and concerns Prepare the quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards Manage the preparation and submission of other applicable internal and external reporting at Group Level, as and when required Provide all support to internal and external auditors and promptly clarify all audit queries raised Coordinate with external auditors to ensure a smooth external Audit verification in accordance with statutory requirements and applicable international accounting standards Handle special analyses such as financial analysis and cash flow forecasting for departments and subsidiaries Handle the closing of subsidiaries maintained at the Group level Group Budgeting Administer the annual budgeting exercise of Aldar at Group Level Monitor, implement, maintain, and reconcile all budgets and ensure their execution in coordination with the concerned subsidiaries and departments Review variance analysis for all balance sheet and income statement line items in relation to the budget to ensure that every aspect of the company and department budget variances are analyzed in detail with supporting evidence and commentary Provide support to internal and external auditors and other consultants/stakeholders and promptly provide and clarify all queries raised Experience and Qualifications Min of 6+ years of experience of financial accounting and management accounting experience Experience of accounting within real estate or related industry is preferred Experience in complex Group-wide accounting and reporting, preferably in a public company Bachelor’s degree in accounting Professional accounting qualification e.g., CPA, CIMA, CA, ACCA Field and Skills Knowledge of and ability to apply international accounting standards and ERP systems Knowledge of and ability to adhere to internal controls Good analytical skills Vigilant and detail-oriented Strong communication skills Strong time management capabilities Employment details Seniority level: Mid-Senior level Employment type: Full-time Job function: Accounting/Auditing and Finance Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates #J-18808-Ljbffr
