  • Build and maintain strongcollaborative relationships with key stakeholders across product,business, and engineering teams. Ensure that data science projectsare integrated with and supportive of overall business strategies,fostering a cohesive approach to achieving Talabat’sobjectives.
  • Guide, mentor, and develop a highlyskilled team of data scientists and data analysts. Set clearperformance goals, facilitate professional developmentopportunities, and foster a supportive and innovative workenvironment that attracts top talent.
  • Spearheadinnovative data science projects, including the application ofpredictive analytics, machine learning models, and optimizationalgorithms. Focus on projects that have the potential tosignificantly impact logistics efficiency and customersatisfaction
  • Ensure the development andmaintenance of a robust and scalable data infrastructure thatsupports advanced analytics and data science activities. Thisincludes advocating for best practices in data governance, qualitycontrol, and compliance with relevant data protectionregulations.
  • Oversee the generation ofinsightful analytical reports and dashboards that track keyperformance indicators (KPIs) and provide strategic insights toboth the logistics team and senior management. Ensure that theseinsights are actionable and contribute to informed decision-makingprocesses.
  • Serve as a key point ofcommunication between the data science unit and both internal andexternal stakeholders. Translate complex data-driven insights intoclear, understandable, and actionable recommendations for variousaudiences.
  • Stay abreast of the latest trendsand advancements in data science, logistics, and technology.Incorporate cutting-edge practices and tools intoTalabat’s data science strategy to maintain a competitiveedge and foster continuousimprovement.
  • Effectively manage resources andpriorities to strike a balance between long-term strategicinitiatives and immediate operational needs. Ensure that the datascience team’s efforts are focused on projects with thehighest potential for positive impact on Talabat’soperations.
  • Design, implement, and manageexperimental frameworks, such as A/B testing, to validate new ideasand measure their impact on logistics performance. Use theseinsights to guide continuous improvementefforts.
  • Provide expert analytical support tocross-functional teams, assisting in the development of KPIs andgoal-setting processes that align with Talabat’sstrategic objectives.
  • Lead by example tocultivate an environment of excellence and innovation within thedata science team. Encourage creative thinking, continuouslearning, and the exploration of new ideas to drive forwardTalabat’s logisticsoperations.
