What WeExpect Of You

• You are responsible to assist the ITManager in the operation of all computer hardware and / or softwareinstallation and maintenance.
• Serve assecondary contact for all servicing of computer PC hardware and /or software.
• Responsible for managingtechnology/asset life-cycle. Ensures that necessary equipment (PCs,servers, telecom-related etc.) is ordered andavailable.
• Accountable for disaster recoveryand business continuity as it relates totechnology.
• Foresees, identifies and resolvessystem(s)’ performanceproblems
• Ensures technology assets are secureand well-maintained in accordance with Rixos policies andstandards
• DataCommunication
• Installs, monitors, maintainstelecommunications equipment including cabling and providingtechnical guidance as needed.
• Performsadds/moves/changes/deletions.
• Supports end-usecompany provided mobile phoneissues.
• Troubleshoots high-speed Internetaccess problems.
• Escalates problems asappropriate through IT Manager.
• DesktopSupport
• Images desktops, installs new softwareapplications, applies patches, maps drives to correctserver/network.
• HARDWARE: Supports the Hotel inresolving Hardware issues through escalation of issues withHardware partners. Considered as Hardware: Computers, Servers,Routers, Switches, Cables, PABX, Monitors, and Screens, Point ofSale devices, all relevant interfaces, UPS and related devices, andother active components.
• SOFTWARE: Ensures thatall Accor IT Policies and Guidelines are being applied in thehotel. Ensures that only original and properly licensed applicationprograms according to the IT management’s policy andrequirement are running on the hotel’s systems andcomputers. Has a good relationship to the Software suppliers?Supports the hotel in resolving Software issues by escalation ofissues to Software suppliers
• Moves/adds/changesPCs/peripherals; migrating data whennecessary.
• Maintain a full inventory of allHardware and software relatedsupplies.
• Maintain a log of all computerhardware and a log of all services calls on computerhardware
• Manage the configuration records,programme files and data files on the computersystem
• Monitor the performance of the computersoftware and maintain a log of performance reports, error andintegrity check reports, system malfunctions andsolutions
• Install and test corporate approvedapplications changes to the hotel computersystems
• Implement Preventive Maintenance forall IT hardware & Software on timelybasis.
• Will be fully in-charge of IT Dept. andall of its related issues in the absence of the IT Manager /Department Head.
• Checking daily backups, allsystem interfaces, server hardware andlogs.
• The management of the IT Agent/ITSpecialist involves assigning daily tasks, providing training onall necessary theoretical and practical procedures, and offeringtroubleshooting and support in line with corporatestandards.
• Follow up all claims that are beingforwarded to IT Dept.
• Document, archive allcorrespondence and troubleshooting, follow up suppliers’visits and maintenance.
• Must have very goodknowledge in LAN, Security, Wireless, IP Telephony, Oasys, Micros,Fidelio, Opera, Sun System, various hospitality solutions andsoftware.
• Must be an example of the RixosValues, Brand Standards, and a champion of appearance &hygiene guidelines.
• Implements guidelines,policies and procedures for those operating departments accordingto Rixos Guidelines & Standards
• Toensure that he/she provides a friendly, courteous and professionalservice at all times.
• Ensures that any giventimeline is strictly followed.
• Ensures that thedaily IT procedures are completed only timely basis.
  

Qualifications

• Diploma in Computer Engineering, MCNA& CCNA.
• 4-5 years of similar experiencein 4-5 star Hotel.
