Toqualify for this job you should meet one of the followingcriteria:

  • Bachelorsdegree in Early Childhood / Primary Education(QFE7)
  • BachelorsDegree in another subject Valid Teaching License in Early Childhood/ Primary Education OR QFE6 (Diploma) in EarlyChildhood / PrimaryEducation
  • QFE7Bachelors Degree in another subject Valid Teaching LicenseOR QFE6 (Diploma) Teaching Qualification 3 years ofTeaching experience in Early Childhood / PrimaryEducation.

Responsibilities:
  • Planning:Toplan and prepare courses schemes of work and individual lessons;appropriate to the needs interests experience and existingknowledge of the pupils in onesclass.
  • Settingand Supervising Work byPupils:Toteach a class or classes sets groups or individual pupils and toset tasks to be undertaken both at school andelsewhere.
  • MarkingandRecording:Tomark and assess pupils work and to record their developmentprogress andattainment.
  • DisciplineAndRelationships:Totake responsibility for maintaininggoodorderdiscipline andrespectforothersamongthepupilsbothinsideandoutside theclassroom;topromoteunderstanding of the schools rules and values; to safeguard healthand safety; and to develop relationships with and between pupilsconducive to optimum learning.
  • CommunicationwithParents:Tobuild and maintain cooperative relationships with parents and tocommunicate with them on pupils learning and progress drawingattention to special skills and talents as well as to problems ordifficulties.
  • TheClassroom:Tomaintain an attractive safe and stimulating classroom environmentand to contribute to displays in the school as awhole.
  • OverallPolicy andReview:Tocomply with all school policies and guidelines and take part inwholeschool reviews of policy andaims.
  • Reports:Toprovide or contribute to oral and written assessments reports andreferences relating to the development and learning of individualpupils and groups ofpupils.
  • Review:Toevaluate and review ones own teaching methods materials and schemesof work and to make changes asappropriate.
  • ProfessionalDevelopment:Tobe up todate with current educational thinking andpractices
  • PublicRelations:Toestablish and maintain cooperative relationships with other staffmembers exhibit appropriate professional conduct and dress andCommunicate positive aspects of the school to thepublic.
