About thejob

JobDescription

Student Placementwill be responsible for supporting the environmental regulatory andvoluntary obligations of Wood with focus on the day-to-dayco-ordination of the carbon reporting requirements. The post holderwill also assist in the co-ordination of materials to support theannual Sustainability Report and coordinating aspects of thesustainabilityprogramme.

Responsibilities

  • Provide central support for thegroups carbon reporting tool, including all training and day to dayoperations as well as the primary focal point for both the 3rdparty system provider and the business on carbon collection andreporting.
  • Support the collection of carbondata through collaboration with business nominatedcontacts
  • Collect and upload any centrallysourced data, where a focal point is not in place and ensure timelyupload to the carbon system
  • Administerreporting of carbon data required for all legislative and voluntarycompliance schemes applicable to John Wood Groupplc.
  • Support the completion of Wood’scarbon subissions (e.g. CDP, SustainabilityReportint)
  • Co-ordinate and the communityinvestment programme in collaboration with the group sustainabilitymanager
  • Undertaking trend analysis ofenvironmental incident information
  • Providereports on the findings identified
  • Collate andmanage other environmental performance metrics as required e.g.water consumption Provide additional support to the wider HSEteam

Qualifications

  • Final year graduate working towardsan Environmental / HSE Degree
  • Available fulltime for 8 weeks from 1 July 2024.
  • Looking tostart Graduate career in 2025
