Senior Specialist, Business Analytics

This position is a mix between a business and research analyst. The job holder is responsible for researching and reporting on a variety of subjects, conducting the necessary data analysis activities to deliver on actionable insights, and communicate the findings effectively in a way that is clear, concise and targeted (through the use of various mediums, such as Powerpoint, infographics and others).
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Key Accountabilities
Business Analytics Perform required research on topics of relevance, beginning by collecting information, developing research methodologies, conducting analysis and reporting on the potential outcomes, risks and recommendations Develop and apply analytical models, data modelling techniques, qualitative and quantitative research methodologies and assessments to measure values and assess key drivers Apply data analysis and data modelling techniques, based upon a detailed understanding of the corporate information requirements, to establish, modify or maintain data structures and their associated components Perform data analysis tasks independently including variance analysis, correlations, trend analysis, etc. using diverse data sets available readily or custom-created to deliver actionable business insights Communicate effectively and develop the right tools to support sharing research/analytical outcomes including developing the required story boards, reports, data visualizations, PowerPoint slides, infographics, etc. depending on the target audience Establish good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and the required collaboration mechanisms to ensure timely and effective project deliveries Act as the subject matter expert of Business Processes specific to different business areas. Support Management Information and relevant teams in relations to Information modelling and Database analysis as well as governance and data quality projects Perform data mapping related tasks Keep a track of trends, patterns and correlation in case of complex data sets
Policies, Processes and Procedures Follow all policies, processes, procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
Collaboration Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on matters related to Data Science & Analytics area in order to facilitate flow of information and also to build awareness in those areas.
Day-to-Day Operations Follow the day-to-day operations set by the to ensure continuity of work and the delivery of effective and high quality outputs. Report on a regular basis to the Unit Head and the Section Head (as required) on their operational activities, Its challenges, hurdles and methods of resolution or mitigation etc. as required to keep the Line Manager informed and updated about their activities.
EHS (Environment, Health and Safety) Comply with all relevant EHS guidelines, policies and procedures, by reporting incidents and hazards on a timely manner, and reduce consumption of natural resources to support in protecting the environment and ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
Change Management Support the creation of culture susceptible to change management through a 'hands-on' and 'can-do' approach to DCT's new business opportunities, participating in the development of new initiatives, meeting planned targets, and demonstrating preferred high-performance behaviours.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, COMPETENCIES
Qualification (e.g. Academic Qualification, Certifications, Licenses)
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration / Finance / Economics / Public Policy or equivalent Master's degree in Business Administration / Finance / Economics / Public Policy or equivalent preferred
Experience
Bachelor Degree Holders: 2 to 4 years of experience in business analysis field. OR Post Graduate Holders: 0 to 2 years of experience in business analysis field.
