Job Summary

Guiding Principles:

Key Objectives:
Organize and coordinate the Academy\xe2\x80\x99s activities, such as conferences, shows, exhibitions, students\' events in line with the departmental strategy and plans. To write the requested communications in all forms and to support in planning, arranging, and delivering events utilizing the appropriate resources.

Key Responsibilities:
Participate in developing communication strategies and planning PR campaigns. Support the planning and implementation of the Academy\xe2\x80\x99s events (such as, but not limited to, large student recruitment exhibitions, internal workshops and external stakeholder meetings and events, etc.) through annual scheduling, budget preparation, team coordination, handling logistics, preparation of collateral materials, and other relevant activities in line with the marketing strategies. Assist in the preparation of RFI, RFP and other tender documents for marketing and communication services. Prepare all event-related documentation to ensure that all events are planned in a formal, structured way with full post-event reporting undertaken. Ensures events are photographed and documented for publicity. Conduct Internet searches and attend student recruitment exhibitions and other public events to collect program information and marketing materials from key competitors, and maintain a file of competitor marketing materials for reference. Write & translate various communications and items of literature, including online blogs, website, press releases, brochures, speeches and multimedia presentations, media advisories, newsletters, etc. Monitor and assist in updating the news in website and students portal. Informs and assists other departments with news media and public relations/community matters as maybe requested. Analyse the latest techniques and methodologies that will enhance better efficiency. Performs other similar or related duties as and when assigned by the direct supervisor. Process ownership will include but is not limited to:
Procurement processes for events and related record keeping
Skills Required

The Senior PR Officer must: Be exceedingly well organised, flexible and enjoy business development and marketing challenges; Be comfortable with internal and external relationships and communications. Have the ability to interact with internal and external clients at all levels in a fast paced environment. Be comfortable working under pressure, being resourceful and efficient with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. Have the ability to work autonomously, demonstrate strong organisational skills and manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines. Promote high personal and professional values and be sensitive to cultural issues; Have the ability to adapt and be open and supportive of continuous improvement, change and the drive for branding excellence. Be comfortable in participating actively in social, cultural and organisational campaigns and events. Have a good working knowledge of UAE culture and practices. Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and business applications. Be ready to dedicate extra time to support for meeting deadlines or the work load; and Must be fluent in English and Arabic. Must have strong writing skills in English & Arabic Desirable:
Experience in writing Press Releases and other forms of written communication.
