Our Curriculum:
Our curriculum is based on the National Curriculum for England, but is influenced by current global topics and nuances of the UAE, meeting the specific interests of our international community of children. ASCS is completely technology enabled, a Google certified school, ensuring all teachers and children are equipped with Chrome books. Our staff and children are fully conversant with technology within the classroom and home learning. Although subjects are taught discretely, our Secondary teaching takes a Design Thinking approach to learning, intended to engage learners in problem solving, critical thinking, making connections across the curriculum, and preparing them for the next stage of their learning journey.

Job Summary
The role of the Head of Inclusion is to support and promote an inclusive culture throughout Al Salam school, enabling all students to achieve their best, and overcoming barriers to learning and participation. The Head of Inclusion holds an important strategic role in the senior leadership team of the school. It entails managing a Team of Inclusion staff who are coordinating appropriate provisions for Students of Determination and those with additional needs and liaising with colleagues, parents, and outside agencies.
Requirements
Education:
Master's degree in inclusion and Special Education University Degree in Education or subject Experience: Successful international experience in inclusion 2 years minimum experience as head of the inclusion dept. 5 years minimum experience as an inclusion teacher Competencies: Demonstrate professionalism, commitment, integrity, strength of character, and perseverance Inter-culturally aware with well-developed interpersonal skills Exceptional leadership and communication skills Innovative, highly motivated, resourceful, flexible, self-starter Inspiring trust and confidence in students and colleagues Outgoing and enthusiastic Show a strong work ethic Committed to ensuring high standards of teaching You have applied correctly
