Job Summary:The Service Engineer II, Program Implementation Auditor is responsible for providing ocean going vessels with on-site and remote technical assistance regarding water and chemical treatment asset protection program adherence, energy management programs, cleaning solutions, welding, refrigeration and sealing products and installation services and repair of equipment. The Service Engineer II, Program Implementation Auditor will investigate and approve operational quality of onboard programs, processes and system equipment and instruct vessel crew in the operation and maintenance of the programs and systems. The Service Engineer II, Program Implementation Auditor will utilize advanced analytical, technical, and problem solving skills to best match vessel needs with appropriate programs and products. Serves as company liaison with customer on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects.Principal Duties and Responsibilities:\xc2\xa7Analyze current application of Drew Marine programs and products onboard vessels
\xc2\xa7Evaluate consistency of Water Treatment and Energy Management programs through on-site sample analysis, observation, and investigations
\xc2\xa7Collaborate with Chief Engineers and marine officers about full scope and application of Drew Marine product line
\xc2\xa7Abide by a culture of safety
\xc2\xa7Participate in a culture of accountability, teamwork, transparency, commitment, and passion
\xc2\xa7Provide solutions for increased efficacy of Drew Marine products and identify and research potential vessel needs
\xc2\xa7Supervise, whenever necessary, inspections, chemical cleanings, and installation and repair of Drew Marine equipment
\xc2\xa7Provide training to the crew
\xc2\xa7Maintain vessel information files through the use of service/technical assistance reports and conceptualize information towards achieving actionable knowledge for vessels, vessel managers, and Drew Marine
\xc2\xa7Visit accounts with Account Executives and Area Manager to better understand client needs & key contacts and prepare for and participate in technical reviews
\xc2\xa7Other complex tasks and projects may be assigned from time to time requiring a degree of autonomyRequired / Desired Knowledge, Experiences and Skills:\xc2\xa7Relevant Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with 5-8 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience, or 8-12 years of related experience, in a technical role in the Marine or Chemical industry
\xc2\xa7Strong interpersonal skills when working with colleagues and international maritime clients
\xc2\xa7Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
\xc2\xa7Strong technical knowledge and experience
\xc2\xa7Strong practical abilities with general computer applications, with specific experience with engineering applications a plus
\xc2\xa7Flexible and motivated work ethic, with desire to serve the needs of the clients
\xc2\xa7Commitment to safe working practices and environmental stewardship
\xc2\xa7Understanding of maritime regulations a plusEducation/Certifications:\xc2\xa7Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or equivalent in Marine, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering or 8-12 years of related experience in a technical role in the Marine or Chemical industry
\xc2\xa7Ability to secure local transportation identification passesPhysical Working Environment:Position may be exposed to harsh industrial and external elements such as heat, vibration, noise and weather when onboard vessels and at ports. Must be able to navigate the structures and obstacles commonly found on ocean going vessels, such as vertical stairs, gangways, and narrow passages, and poses safety awareness around operating machinery and moving objects.
