The Role:

The core purpose of this role is to provide professional, highly effective leadership and management that will achieve outstanding results in all aspects of school life.

The Vice Principal is responsible for working in collaboration with the Principal to manage all risks, fill the school and manage the cost base to generate the budgeted revenue and profit, and to deliver outstanding ratings and parental engagement.

The Vice Principal will work under the guidance of the School Principal and Executive Principal for Dubai Schools and will work closely with the staff team, as well as colleagues across the wider Taaleem family. The opportunity is to develop and bring into reality a compelling vision for a school that will offer a rigorous American education and aims to develop respectful citizens who embrace UAE culture and values while having a strong global perspective. 

Position Requirements: 

Education: Master’s degree or NPQSL/NPQH, Teaching certification, Principal / educational management qualification

Experience: 

The placement will be in a large school setting (2000+ primary students); at least 5 years’ experience in a senior leadership role that has included responsibility for running/line managing a team, making curriculum decisions, inspection procedures and working firsthand with parents.

The Primary section runs from KG to Grade 6, follows US curriculum standards, and employs an internationally diverse staff, knowledge and experience in a similar setting would be a distinct advantage.

IB PYP experience, US curriculum standards and familiarity with the UAE context would be desirable.
