Role Purpose: Solutions architect – Application and Integration provides the necessary analysis and design tasks related to the development of Application and Integrations solutions architecture. The role requires providing cohesive architecture expertise and focusing on delivering a solution strategy and architecture that supports required in MAF Tech Application and integration capabilities. This individual creates deliverables that help develop a direction for managing the organization's Application and integration portfolio of "as is” and "to be" solutions — including systems (applications, processes, and information), shared infrastructure services, and shared application and data services and components to better match targeted business outcome objectives. Application and Integration Solution architect guides application design and defines Integration architecture paradigms, such as definition of integration technologies e.g API management, iPaaS, ESB etc, that influence design decisions and patterns that provide proven design solutions and how internal application architect (e.g., SAP C4C, Oracle Fusion, different digital platform etc.) will support these integration technologies as well. Role Details:
  • Working collaboratively across the organisation, lead the development and implementation of standards, guidelines, and industry best practices.
  • Working with closely with EA to evolve agreed reference architectures supported by appropriate collaboration and review mechanisms
  • Understanding MAF strategic priority projects and initiatives and provide input for developing a roadmap of integration architecture solutions that will deliver on these over the short, mid and long-term.
  • Ensuring application and integration architecture governance is adhered to through the appropriate governance processes.
  • Translating the organisation’s strategic vision, and the expectations around effective into solution architecture.
  • Producing documented frameworks and architectures which describe and are used to manage the implementation of MAF different kind of applications are going to be integrated internally and where required, globally.
  • Leading the application and infrastructure of integration technical considerations and developing solutions standards within projects delivery.
  • Understanding and communicating technical advances and trends which have the potential to positively impact MAF overall enterprise architecture.
  • Providing professional advice and support to other Solution Architecture on integration architecture matters, providing application’s platform for their own learning and development where appropriate
  • Facilitate the evaluation and selection of Integration product standards and services, as well as the design of standard and custom configurations and how different applications are going to integrate.
  • Consult with application and infrastructure development projects to fit systems or infrastructure to architecture and identify when it is necessary to modify projects to accommodate the integration solutions architecture.
  • Document all application and integration solution architecture design and analysis work.
  • Manage projects related to Integration Architecture and Governance functions setup as well as the implementation of new Integration services as required.
  • Understand business drivers and business capabilities (future and current state) and determine corresponding enterprise system designs and change requirements to drive the organization's targeted business outcomes.
  • Facilitate the evaluation and selection of software product standards and services, as well as the design of standard and custom software configurations.
  • Work closely with the program management office (PMO) or project management office to ensure the execution of plans corresponds with what is being promised. Technical competencies:

    • Experience of Cross Platform Integration Design and their associated solutions for applications and data
    • Deep understanding of definition and delivery of integration technologies such API management, iPaaS etc. and associated framework for these technologies.
      • Be intellectually agile and capable of dealing with the concepts and complexities inherent in the position with strong analytical and research skills Required Skillset

          Minimum experience
          • Minimum of seven years of experience in Integration solution development disciplines, including technical architecture
          • Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments
          • Good understanding of strategic and new and emerging technology trends, and the practical application of existing, new and emerging technologies to new and evolving business and operating models
          • Understanding of agile methods and processes, and capability of supporting agile project teams by providing advice and guidance on opportunities, impact and risks, taking account of technical and architectural debt
          • Minimum Qualifications/education
          • Bachelor's degree in computer science, system analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience
