The Role

The Proposal Engineer, in close cooperation with the Account Manager Services, assesses customer requirements and the competitive intelligence available to design or propose the appropriate maritime solutions. The Proposal Engineer Services designs the maritime solution to fulfill technical requirements of the customer or matches the relevant products from our range of Standard Services. You work a lot with your colleagues from the Services Account Management, Operations and Supply Chain to prepare comprehensive and attractive proposals. The Proposal Engineer, in conjunction with the Tender Manager, is contributing to standardization and further development of services within his/her primary domain (RCC/Training/AMD). In this way you contribute to our mission to continuously improve, become more efficient and to keep the Services Portfolio relevant and updated.

Key Accountabilities

  • Collaborate with Account Management / Sales and the Client to understand their drivers, issues, expectations, requirements and competitive landscape.
  • Collect, create and analyze information in order to estimate cost, time, labor and materials for project execution.
  • Work with stakeholders throughout the project process to achieve market competitive project pricing. This includes cooperation with Supply Chain and Account Management.
  • Standardize and develop Services within your primary domain (RCC/Training/AMD).
  • Participate in tender teams and tender deliverable development.
  • Upon effective order, arrange handover (kick-off) from D&P Services to the project execution team.
  • Stay involved during project execution in order to obtain feedback to improve future proposals

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor degree in Maritime/Naval Engineering;
  • Good communicative skills, both written and verbally;
  • Good verbal and written command of the English language; Other modern languages are considered an asset;
  • At least 2 years of relevant working experience;
  • Already Living in the area of Sharjah (UAE).
