ROLE SUMMARY
The Butcher is responsible for cutting, trimming and preparing portions of meat in line with the customer\xe2\x80\x99s requirements, section\xe2\x80\x99s operating standards and hygiene control procedures. He/she should know the butchery methods and preparations for one area of operation within the Butchery Section. The role holder is also responsible for weighing meat, wrapping it, labelling it and putting it out for display.

ROLE PROFILE Master the first area of operation within the Butchery Section. Apply meat cutting methods and techniques to prepare products as per the customers\xe2\x80\x99 requests and butchery\xe2\x80\x99s standard operating procedures. Wrap, weigh, label and price cuts of meat. Prepare and place meat cuts and products in display counter as per the defined guidelines. Follow and comply with all applicable health and sanitation procedures and adhering to safe work practices. Operate and sanitize all equipment in a safe and proper manner. Identify and segregate waste and damaged products on daily basis while maintaining a record of the waste and damaged items. REQUIREMENTS Basic English language reading, writing, and interpretation skills. High school diploma or equivalent is a plus. 2 \xe2\x80\x93 3 years in similar role. Minimum 2 years of experience within area one of operation in Butchery. Successful completion of Master L2 Program within Butchery.
