Functional Accountabilities

To provide a courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service at all times, following Paramount Hotels Guidelines.

To perform all duties and tasks in the assigned Place of Work

To be fully conversant with all services and facilities offered by the hotel.

To perform opening and closing procedures established for the Place of Work as assigned.

To welcome and serve any guest that walks into the F&B area, while providing him with the best service possible according to the hotel standards.

To provide a service style and quality according to the department procedures.

To prepare and decorate all drinks ordered by the guest according to the of hotel standards.

To constantly create and innovate the content of the beverage offering together with the bartenders and the Bar Manager

To prepare bar, mise en place and keep them well stocked at all times.

To prepare coffee station and coffee machine in the beginning of the day; keep them tidy during the day and clean after the shift. To promote cocktails and drinks at all times.

Research new trend in the beverage industry and create seasonal cocktails.

To count daily and monthly bar stock inventory.

To prepare the beverage back up on a daily basis.

To review requisitions with manager before the requisition is issued to the F&B management and storekeeping department.

To check that the amount and quality of all items delivered from the stores are rechecked according to the requisition list.

To aid the cost controller with the bar stock checks.

To ensure the correct storage of all drinks in the bar according to the correct temperature.

To keep the bar and surrounding areas clean and free of dirty glasses, empty bottles and etc. at all times

To discard rubbish to garbage disposal area as and when necessary.

To know the cocktail and wine procedure and cocktail and wine list.

To ensure table & cocktail settings are according to hotel standards.

To assist the (assistant) manager and cocktail servers when required.

To always go with personal equipment (bottle opener etc).

To check that all the waiters and bar stations are fully equipped.

To handle all equipment carefully and responsibly to keep damage and breakage to a minimum.

To use the equipment of the Hotel (cutlery, china, napkins and etc.) according to the instructions, report damages and switch off all equipment at the end of your working day.

To demonstrate good knowledge of all menus items, and special promotions at all times, to be able to assist the guest.

To assure an appropriate mise-en-place for all operational needs at all times.

To demonstrate good knowledge of Micros and the established cash handling procedure of the Hotel and process all guest orders through Micros before any drinks or food is served.

To handle guests complains in a guest-oriented manner and to inform the supervisor immediately.

To cooperate efficiently with stewarding staff when delivering dirty items to dishwashing area.

To help another Food and Beverage outlet if necessary if being asked
Qualifications andexperience

Experience and Technical Knowledge
Essential:
Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role in Hospitality Desirable: Experience working in a multi-cultural environment Organized and well planned Able to work with speed and efficiency throughout maintaining positive attitude

Qualifications
Essential:
Have a minimum of 2years’ experience in similar position Additional relevant qualifications: menu planning and recipes knowledge, excellent food and beverage knowledge, administration abilities, good kitchen organization experience
