Jumeirah Group’s newest resort Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab will lead a new generation of Group’s ultra-luxury portfolio. Nestled at the tip of a peninsula at the heart of Dubai’s largest private beach, with design influences of a futuristic superyacht, Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab will feature 303 rooms, 84 suites, and 82 serviced residences set amid private landscaped gardens. It encompasses specially integrated wellness and leisure destinations and an impressive line-up of signature restaurants, including a new concept comprising 4 restaurants in 1. About the Job:
An opportunity has arisen for an Outlet General Manager to join our team at our Italian Restaurant in Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab. The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:
- Organize and supervise the day-to-day operations of the F&B Outlet and ensure that all work is carried out in an efficient manner (which is consistent with operating policies and procedures and delivers service excellence)
- Ensures team maintains a consistent cleaning regime. Record stock levels and comply with stock audit requirements
- Monitor food hygiene standards and take proactive steps to maintain them and maintain an approach of continuous development to sustain the best hygiene standards
- Monitor the profitability of the outlet. Identify areas and gaps for continuous improvements, provide recommendations and/or solutions to improve them and assist with implementing such corrective measures. Take initiatives to sustain them
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support team to reach common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other Colleagues
- Consistently monitor the quality of food and beverages and service offered to guests and escalating any major problems/ complaints to senior management to ensure high service quality as per Jumeirah group quality standards
- Ensure compliance to all relevant Health, Safety and Environment management procedures and controls within a defined area of activity so that Jumeirah group provides world class and luxurious hospitality services to its guests
- Implement approved departmental policies, processes, and procedures. Provide instructions and guidance to subordinates where necessary. Monitor Colleague’s adherence to relevant policies and procedures so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner while delivering a quality service to guests and maintaining standards of excellence
About You:
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
- Prior experience in a similar role in a luxury hotel or a high-end Italian restaurant, demonstrating a strong understanding of luxury hospitality standards, preferably within a pre-opening setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a language fluency preference in Italian.
- Excellent leaderships skills, with a strong working knowledge of personnel management, holding briefings, setting targets and conducting team performance
- Ability to oversee and optimize multiple outlets simultaneously, while collaborating with the chefs to innovate, improve menu offerings and monitor the communication between front-of-house and back-of-house teams.
