About the Role

We are looking for a Head of Inclusion to join our team at GEMS FirstPoint School, Dubai in September 2023

The successful candidate will be an experienced Head of Inclusion who is excited to join our world-class school and who is driven to provide educational support at an exceptional level. GEMS staff enjoy an outstanding school environment in which to deliver a dynamic and creative curriculum to motivated students.

You will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of inclusion within the allocated year groups. This will include, but not be limited to: Curriculum, Intervention, Pastoral Care, Professional Development, Assessment and Teaching and Learning.

The successful candidate will have: Solid and demonstratable experience within a similar role or as an SEN teacher within a high performing department A certified teaching qualification, such as B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE or equivalent (PGCE/PGDE must be accompanied by a subject relevant bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree) A Degree and Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent are essential. A Master\'s Degree or other relevant leadership or Inclusive Education qualifications are desirable. At least 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in education and at least 2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience working in Inclusion. The desire to provide outstanding teaching and learning. About the School

GEMS FirstPoint School (FPS) opened in 2014, it is positioned in the heart of The Villa community in Dubai. It is a Premium British Curriculum School, providing an excellent standard of education for over 1650 students from FS1 to Year 13, with exciting plans to expand further in the coming years.

The school has grown rapidly and continues to be popular with families from across Dubai with over 90 nationalities represented. FPS is housed in state-of-the-art buildings with a separate sports and performing arts centre, swimming pools, theatre, sports hall, dance, drama and music rooms. Our main building contains specialist facilities such as a robotics and electronics lab, food technology kitchen, textiles and design suite, fully equipped Design Technology workshops, science labs and much more. The curriculum offers a full, broad and balanced range of learning opportunities both in and out of the classroom, with a particular emphasis on digital technology which is taught to all year groups.
