: UAEU Student Recruitment Officers (SRO) are responsible for the operationalization and implementation of our annual student recruitment plan. The plan identifies priority market segments, and the SRO will be allocated responsibility for one or more of these segments. The SRO is expected to develop and use customized recruitment strategies suited to the specific requirements of a segment and assess the Return on Investment (ROI) for each recruitment initiative.
This new position supports the enrollment management goals of UAEU to identify and recruit high-quality UAE national students in target market segments and within target academic programs and levels of study. The SRO is expected to deliver:
i) Operational plan for recruitment in the priority market segment(s)
ii) Create and use programs, services, and tools customized to fit with the dynamics and characteristics of the market segment(s).
iii) Robust and effective relationships and partnerships with external agents, institutions, organizations and sponsors, as appropriate to the market segment.
In close collaboration with the Head of Recruitment and Exchange and other Student Recruitment Officers, the Student Recruitment Officer is responsible for proactively reaching out to prospective applicants, engaging and communicating about the value of UAEU education, conversion applications ready for hand-off to admissions, and participating in scholarship award decisions. The SRO works with the Admissions and Scholarships Unit to support efficiencies of admission processes and closely collaborates with relevant organizations to recruit and transition conditionally admitted students to UAEU - including those who defer their admission.
Frequent participation in online and in-person recruitment events, transfer fairs, school visits, and other related activities is expected.
Minimum Qualification
1. Bachelor's degree
3. Evidence of progressive professional experience of student recruitment functional area.
4. Demonstrated track-record of successful student recruitment and / or admissions. Applications that do not demonstrate substantive evidence against this criterion will not be considered.
5. Progressive professional experience involving travel and independent, self-starting project management.
6. Substantive professional experience developing and managing higher education networks, partnerships and country-specific agencies and agents.
7. Familiar with enrollment management software (banner, CRM, etc.)
8. Sales experience and customer service experience.
9. Ability to work well under pressure meets deadlines.
10. Team player.
Preferred Qualification
1. Demonstrated experience in relationship building, report building / maintenance, and the use of data driven decision making for planning and strategy development.
2. Ability to handle communications with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
3. Strong ability to develop and sustain relationships across various internal and external constituencies engaged in student enrollment management.
4. Relevant experience in the development, implementation and monitoring of a comprehensive plan for student recruitment.
5. Relevant experience in administering sponsored student programs.
6. Familiarity with a variety of English Language Proficiency Tests.
7. Knowledge and experience working with national and foreign credential evaluations. Existing relationships with governments, agents and consultants.
8. Ability and willingness to engage with partners and prospective students remotely / online, and domestic travel.
9. Strong computing skills and expertise utilizing computing applications and systems
10. Commitment to a student-centered / customer service-oriented philosophy.
11. Understanding of nuanced university and admission goals within the context of the university and unit-specific strategic plans.
12. Effective communication in individual settings and in-group presentations (5-100+ people) including virtual / remote delivery
