The Arbor School are seeking a highly motivated Teacher of MFL, with potential for Head of Department role, to join the growing MFL department in the newly opened Secondary School. The right candidate may be asked to apply for the Head of MFL role as well. We are looking for an experienced teacher with a passion for this languages, linguistics and world culture. The successful applicant will be able to teach students of all abilities as well as demonstrate a proven track record of securing outstanding student outcomes. Proficient and experienced in teaching Spanish and French, ideally with experience of teaching across GCSE/iGCSE and A Level or IB.     JOB SUMMARY The role requires a passionate teacher of modern foreign languages to both fluent speakers and beginners. They will believe in showcasing the very best of cultural understanding and global awareness alongside having a strong pedagogical knowledge of learning languages The successful candidate will be proficient and experienced in teaching MFL ideally with experience of teaching across GCSE/iGCSE and A Level or IB. You will form an integral component of the MFL team, with responsibilities across KS3, KS4 and KS5. . The successful candidate should have experience of teaching French or Spanish primarily with German as a potential other language.

    REQUIRED CANDIDATE PROFILE:
  • Native-level English language skills
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in modern foreign languages or directly related subject, with a PGCE in Education with QTS or equivalent A minimum of 3 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience teaching French/Spanish and/or German in the UK or a reputable British school overseas A track record of outstanding GSCE and/or A Level examination results A track record of outstanding teaching and learning and an ability to create a caring and nurturing classroom environment
