MAIN OBJECTIVE OF ROLE


To provide comprehensive oversight of Flight safety issues, including incident investigations, post-incident assessments, hazard identification, Air Safety Reports (ASRs), and updating safety reports based on Flight Data Monitoring (FDM) reviews.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
 

  • Assists in investigating incidents and preparing investigation reports by conducting analysis, studies, and providing recommendations as necessary.

  • Manages the processing of Air Safety Reports (ASRs), including requesting and following up on assessments from relevant departments as needed.

  • Conducts data collection on safety-related information in Flight and Cabin operations and collates the gathered data to prepare presentations for the quarterly Safety Action Group meetings.

  • Delivers SMS awareness training to Flight Crew & Cabin Crew in accordance with regulatory requirements and coordinates any additional trainings on the SMS in Flight & Cabin Operations.

  • Prepares promotional material for Flight Safety, utilizing innovative media methods to increase engagement and awareness.

  • Supports in preparing Air Safety Reports (ASRs) Safety Performance Indicators for submission to GCAA.

  • Carries out post-incident assessments as needed to verify corrective and preventative measures provided are effective.

  • Identifies hazards and risks related to Flight activities and procedures, providing recommendations as necessary.

  • Updates safety reports with inputs derived from Flight Data Monitoring (FDM) reviews.

  • Maintains the performance records pertaining to Flight and Cabin safety, ensuring robust record keeping methods are implemented.
Qualifications


QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED


Minimum Education Level 

·       Bachelor's Degree (3+ years)

Languages   

·       Fluent in English


EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Years with Qualifications   

·       5

Professional Experience   

·       Minimum 5 years in commercial Airline Operations or equivalent position

·       General knowledge of International and Local Aviation Regulations pertaining to Safety Management

Systems Knowledge (if applicable)         

·       Knowledge of BI tools such as Tableau or PowerBI.

ISR REQUIREMENTS
