Base Maintenance Liaison Engineer

Work within the engineering lease team as a technical representative for flydubai during base maintenance activities. Ensure that scheduled heavy maintenance events are planned and completed in accordance with operational expectations and in line with budget requirements and at the required quality standard.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

 Key Activities

  1. Ensure flydubai Planning & Technical services departments have produced the necessary work packages and that they are delivered to the MRO in good time.
  2. Conduct pre-input meetings at intervals to suit the maintenance plan.
  3. Ensure that the maintenance provider is delivering in accordance with the contractual terms.
  4. Ensure that the MRO is meeting the required Quality standards.
  5. Liaise between MRO and flydubai technical services in order to assist in solving aircraft technical problems.
  6. Monitor the maintenance input from a commercial perspective to ensure it remains on budget.
  7. Meet with the MRO during the check to discuss progress against the plan.
  8. Establish Parts status and ensuring availability.
  9. Assist flydubai Quality Assurance with Quality investigations.
  10. Coordinate and maintain records/reports for MRO monitoring, including daily meetings, regular oversight checks and post check wash-up meetings.
  11. Demonstrates an understanding of how to: 
         •   Compile and control completed work cards 
         •   Confirm proper accomplishment of maintenance tasks 
         •   Determine required qualifications for task performance 
         •   Manage third parties involved in maintenance activity 
         •   Identify and properly plan performance of critical maintenance tasks 
         •   Prioritize tasks and report discrepancies 
         •   Process the work requested by the operator 
         •   Recognize the acceptability of parts to be installed prior to fitment 
         •   Split complex maintenance tasks into clear stages 
         •   Use information systems.
  12. Demonstrates knowledge of: 
         •   Behavior and attitude towards safety
         •   CAR-M, CAR-145 and any other relevant Regulations 
         •   CDCCL & EWIS when relevant - Critical maintenance task
         •   His/her own human performance and Limitations 
         •   Human factors, human performance and Limitations 
         •   Incorrect maintenance data and existing or potential defects 
         •   Logistics processes 
         •   Organization capabilities 
         •   Occurrence reporting system and understanding of the importance of reporting occurrences Privileges and limitations
         •   Relevant parts of the maintenance organization exposition and procedures
         •   Safety risks linked to the working environment

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE/ KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS


Minimum Qualification

  • Current GCAA CAR 66 AMEL preferably with ratings on 737NG and CFM56-7B or Aeronautical Engineering Degree.


Experience

  •  At least 5 years’ experience in a certification or management role associated with heavy maintenance.

Knowledge / Skills

  • Broad knowledge and experience in the use of IT systems including Microsoft Suite and MRO Systems.

ISR REQUIREMENTS

Reads and complies with the ISR policies of the Company and diligently reports any weakness or incidents to the respective Line Manager or the Information Security team. Completes all required ISR awareness sessions and follows associated guidelines in the day-to-day business operations.
