Overview / Responsibilities

Due to anticipated growth throughout 2022, Wood is currently inviting applications for a Lead Process Engineer with experience in oil&gas industry to be based in UAE

Below are some key responsibilities and duties: Be able to lead and supervise Process Engineering Teams in Feasibility, Conceptual Studies, Pre - FEED, FEED and EPC Projects Be willing to mentor and engage in the training and development of junior engineers in the team Undertake process design work of units as required, supervise and check works of assigned engineers on the project as appropriate Execute process engineering activities within the budget and schedule, as well as maintaining technical integrity of the design Ensure that detail design methods, standards and data used conform with Client's requirements and / or those issued Be responsible for the checking or approval of basis of design, process calculations, safety related calculations to develop the robust design Review and approve Process Flow Diagrams, P&IDs, PSFS, DPTDs, Equipment & Instrument specifications, Process Descriptions, cause, and Effect chart etc. Review and approve dynamic simulation study, transient study, surge study, Minimum Metal Design Temperature (MDMT) study, etc. Review and approve depressurization studies, flare load estimation and flare system design Ensure a high standard of safety is achieved and Environmental and Quality Assurance procedures are followed Review and approve safety related calculations and provide input to HAZOP, SIL and other safety reviews as required Identifying new methodology of work process required for higher productivity Contribute where necessary to review of supplier quotations and reviews of the project Ensure that requirements of Licensor's Secrecy Agreements are known and complied within the work performed Participate in technical meetings and handle discussions with client engineers Identification of issues that impede project progress and reporting to Project Managers, Engineering Manager / Discipline heads As Lead Discipline Engineer, when assigned on projects, responsible for managing the team of engineers, designers, and delivering the engineering requirements of the project Assist project team in the preparation of planning package, scheduling, weekly reporting etc. Assist as required in the preparation of pre - commissioning, commission procedures and operating Manuals Provided assistance in Manhours estimation and scheduling for proposals Skills / Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in chemical engineering Minimum Experience of 15+ years in Oil and Gas industry Minimum Experience of 10 years with Engineering Consultancy FPSO / FSO experience is an added advantage. Proficient in Process Simulation software's such as HYSYS, Flare System Analyzer, PipeNet, Pipesim, OLGA etc. and should be a subject matter expert Knowledge of engineering computer programs and general business software Experience of working in a multi - project / multi - disciplined environment and throughout all engineering and design phases of projects Company Overview
