Overview / Responsibilities

Due to anticipated growth throughout 2023, Wood is currently inviting expressions of interest for a Lead Process Engineer with experience in Engineering Services and Sour Gas to be based in UAE.

Please note that at this stage, applications for this role are invited as an Expression of Interest (EOI) only whilst exact opportunities are being fully determined

Below are some key responsibilities and duties: Be able to lead and supervise Process Engineering Teams in Feasibility, Conceptual Studies, Pre - FEED, FEED and EPC Projects Be willing to mentor and engage in the training and development of junior engineers in the team Undertake process design work of units as required, supervise and check works of assigned engineers on the project as appropriate Execute process engineering activities within the budget and schedule, as well as maintaining technical integrity of the design Ensure that detail design methods, standards and data used conform with Client\'s requirements and / or those issued Be responsible for the checking or approval of basis of design, process calculations, safety related calculations to develop the robust design Review and approve Process Flow Diagrams, P&IDs, PSFS, DPTDs, Equipment & Instrument specifications, Process Descriptions, cause, and Effect chart etc. Review and approve dynamic simulation study, transient study, surge study, Minimum Metal Design Temperature (MDMT) study, etc. Review and approve depressurization studies, flare load estimation and flare system design Ensure a high standard of safety is achieved and Environmental and Quality Assurance procedures are followed Review and approve safety related calculations and provide input to HAZOP, SIL and other safety reviews as required Identifying new methodology of work process required for higher productivity Contribute where necessary to review of supplier quotations and reviews of the project Ensure that requirements of Licensor\'s Secrecy Agreements are known and complied within the work performed Participate in technical meetings and handle discussions with client engineers Identification of issues that impede project progress and reporting to Project Managers, Engineering Manager / Discipline heads As Lead Discipline Engineer, when assigned on projects, responsible for managing the team of engineers, designers, and delivering the engineering requirements of the project Assist project team in the preparation of planning package, scheduling, weekly reporting etc. Assist as required in the preparation of pre - commissioning, commission procedures and operating Manuals Provided assistance in Manhours estimation and scheduling for proposals Proposals experience Significant experience in preparation of proposals for Studies, FEED, Detail Engineering projects. Experience in Upstream Oil & Gas, Gas Treating and Sulphur processing, Refining, Petrochemical, Utilities and Offsites, Flare And Relief Design, Waste Water Treatment Review of ITT/RFQ documentation and interpret the scope of work for small, medium and large size projects Take ownership and command of proposal, including written proposals, presentations etc. Prepare / collate manhours for the proposal Collaborating with centres of excellence and other affiliate offices as required to prepare a winning proposal Liaise with subcontractors, vendors & OEMs to obtain the costs for their services Liaise with technology providers / Licensors as required for the proposals Provide customer responses (including expressions of interest, presentations, etc) Ensure that the proposal is compliant and delivered on time. Prepare/Review/analyze proposal sections for consistency and clarity, compliance with solicitation, requirements, and alignment with proposed solutions and themes and writes/re-writes proposal sections as necessary to deliver high-quality, winning proposals. Respond to requests for clarification Prepare and deliver presentations (pre-proposal or post-proposal) to Clients and other internal stakeholders Take on responsibility of Proposal Lead or Proposal Coordinator as required due to workload of proposals team including (but not limited to) the following: Develop and implement the proposal management plan (responsibility/compliance matrix) Develop and implement the proposal schedule Support and contribute to the continual improvement of proposal procedures and processes Skills / Qualifications
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in chemical engineering Minimum Experience of 15+ years in Oil and Gas industry Minimum Experience of 10 years with Engineering Consultancy Proficient in Process Simulation software\xe2\x80\x99s such as HYSYS, Flare System Analyzer, PipeNet, Pipesim, OLGA etc. and should be a subject matter expert Knowledge of engineering computer programs and general business software Experience of working in a multi - project / multi - disciplined environment and throughout all engineering and design phases of projects Company Overview
