WSP is currently searching for an accomplished and experienced professional to join our team as an Associate.

Your new role, what's involved?

  • Spearhead the establishment of a hydrogeology business line within the Geotechnical department, including business development strategies and market positioning.
  • Engage in client liaison activities, understanding client needs, and developing tailored hydrogeological solutions to meet their requirements.
  • Lead efforts in work winning by identifying potential projects, preparing proposals, and participating in client presentations.
  • Manage the hydrogeology department line, including resource allocation, team coordination, and performance management.
  • Collaborate in the formulation of comprehensive hydrogeological investigation plans, encompassing site-specific hydrogeological considerations.
  • Facilitate the procurement process for contractors specialized in hydrogeological investigations.
  • Oversee hydrogeological investigation contractors, leveraging prior hands-on experience in conducting hydrogeological surveys and proficiently analyzing hydrogeological data.
  • Conduct hydrogeological assessments, identify groundwater flow patterns, and evaluate aquifer properties.
  • Perform characterization of aquifer properties and hydraulic conductivity using established methodologies.
  • Coordinate hydrogeological testing schedules and interpret resulting data.
  • Contribute to the review and preparation of factual and interpretative reports in hydrogeological domains.
  • Generate technical notes and specifications pertaining to hydrogeological investigations.
  • Utilize hydrogeological modeling tools for data analysis and interpretation.

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

  • Possess a degree geology, or a related field, with 12-15 years of post-graduate experience in hydrogeology.
  • Hold a valid driver's license.
  • Willingness to travel for project-related hydrogeological activities and site assignments.

Proficiency in the following areas:

  • Supervision of field hydrogeological investigations and adeptness in hydrogeological investigation techniques.
  • Compliance with international standards in describing hydrogeological formations.
  • Solid grasp of hydrogeological principles, including groundwater flow dynamics and aquifer properties.
  • Experience in integrating large datasets and developing hydrogeological models.
  • Familiarity with hydrogeological reports and recommendations.
  • Competency in software packages relevant to hydrogeological modeling and analysis.
  • Understanding of various groundwater management techniques.
  • Proficiency in hydrogeological data analysis, interpretation, and reporting.
  • Experience in construction projects with significant hydrogeological considerations.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and Civil 3D software is beneficial.
