We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chief Accountant to lead our accounting department and ensure the financial integrity and accuracy of our organization\'s financial records. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting principles, financial reporting, and team management. The Chief Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations, supervising the accounting team, and collaborating with cross-functional departments to support strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities Lead and manage the accounting team, including setting clear objectives, providing guidance, and conducting performance evaluations. Oversee and ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and payroll. Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and best practices. Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and analyses, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and variance analyses. Coordinate and manage the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to establish financial targets and monitor performance against those targets. Monitor and analyze financial performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process and ensure timely completion of audits. Stay current with changes in accounting regulations and standards, ensuring that the organization remains in compliance. Identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance operational efficiency, and improve the accuracy of financial reporting. Prepare and submit accurate and timely tax returns, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations. Qualifications Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master\'s degree or CPA designation preferred. Proven experience (8+ years) in progressively responsible accounting roles, with a track record of success in team management. Thorough understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards. Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms is a plus. Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and precision in financial reporting. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work well under pressure to meet deadlines. Prior experience in auditing and taxation is advantageous. Strategic mindset with the ability to contribute to organizational decision-making.
