Area Finance Manager

The role primarily focuses on providing financial reporting, compliance and business partnering support across the Etihad Airways\xe2\x80\x99 Europe and Americas region. This will be a pivotal role in ensuring all financial related compliance matters are met and ensuring all risks of penalty exposures are managed from a compliance perspective. Furthermore, the role will also require challenging the status quo and identifying opportunities for process improvements across the financial operations from AP, AR, Revenue Accounting and GL perspective.
Accountabilities To ensure all financial and tax compliance with financial regulations and company policies requirements are fulfilled in a timely manner. Continually identifying and evaluating financial risks and opportunities in the region Assist and review the compilation of annual budgets including periodic reforecasting Analysing financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement Continually identify and drive process improvements with all departments by adopting technology Collaborating with other departments to identify trends, opportunities for cost savings, and areas to improve the financial health of the company. Providing Financial guidance and advice to Department heads in the Region Monitoring and sharing financial performance against budget and provide commentary to explain any variances Provide continual mentoring and guidance to the team to ensure alignment to the company\xe2\x80\x99s goals and further development Supporting the development of financial and operational KPI\xe2\x80\x99s To participate in project aimed at improving business processes and efficiencies To participate in meetings and manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholder at all levels. Be familiar with applications such as SAP, advanced excel, and Power BI to deliver results Provide financial guidance and support to departmental Managers, to help them understand the impact of financial decisions Ensuring compliance with local airline and IATA industry standard Education & Experience Finance related Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree as a minimum. Chartered Accountant or Management accounting qualification would be an advantage. Minimum of 5+ Years of related experience in finance and tax within the Europe or Americas required. Experience working in SAP systems A confident communicator across different stakeholder levels from managers to senior executives. About Etihad Airways
