Overview: Looking for an astute, proficient and qualified Data Engineer to assess, analyze and work with data concepts, use-cases & complex new data sources to provide business insights to customers and support the implementation & integration of the data sources into the G42 Analytics platform.
The opportunity
You get to play a key role in supporting the development of powerful data solutions & information products at G42 Analytics—an AI-driven, rapidly growing, high-visibility Business Unit of G42 that delivers cutting edge, next-gen analytics products for the international market. G42 is an Abu Dhabi based artificial intelligence and cloud computing company with a global footprint delivering holistic and scalable AI solutions to a variety of commercial and government clients. The Group’s business operations cover a wide range of industry verticals including Healthcare, Government, Smart City & Smart Mobility, Oil & Gas, Fintech, Geospatial, Aviation, Cloud Computing, Big Data Analytics and Sports. Responsibilities: Reporting to the Principal Data Manager, Analytics, you will be responsible for designing core data engineering architecture through the development of appropriate programs, and aligning data architecture to customer requirements.
Functional Design, build and launch new data extraction, transformation & loading processes in production. Analyze structured, semi-structured and unstructured data sources in detail for quality, completeness and business value. Deploy sophisticated analytics programs, machine learning and statistical methods for data visualization and pattern recognition, through predictive & prescriptive modeling. Interpret trends & patterns by performing complex data analyses to create dashboards, reports and data visualization, based on challenges, solutions, risks and mitigation methods discovered during the project, and communicate it to the Project Lead. Design implement and test rapid prototypes that demonstrate the value of the data and present them to G42 Analytics senior management. Identify ways to improve data reliability, efficiency and quality, providing value to customers and G42 Analytics’ products & solutions. Research & demonstrate new data concepts and implement it within G42 Analytics to enhance business value. Help in proving concepts, evaluating innovative technologies and contributing ideas to create actionable implementations and collaborate with team members across departments to support the integration of proven prototypes into core intelligence products.
Skills and attributes for success The yardsticks of your performance would include cost savings achieved, number of data systems adhering to architecture standards, adherence to policies, procedures & quality standards, number of innovations/POCs deployed, database throughput, and customer NPS.
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Artificial Intelligence, Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering or related field Minimum 6 years of experience in relational & non-relational databases 3 years of experience in building & optimizing Big Data pipelines, architecture and datasets in an AI service organization or analytics industry
