: What's the role?

Ensure the seamless delivery of Credit management through driving the right balance of risk & reward. Continue to drive the concentration, and standardization, of activities to ensure efficient and affordable support in assisting with delivery of business objectives and outcomes.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Drive all primary Credit activities related to Credit Management including Credit Vetting, Debt Collection & Recovery

Develop and implement credit management strategies for all product lines.

Direct involvement in customer contracting phase each year providing risk/ reward, providing alternatives to properly manage credit risk.

Implementing working capital strategies/ initiatives across product lines to improve DSO, OD and risk mitigation.

Partnering with and providing advice to internal commercial and finance stakeholders, as well as external counterparties where applicable.

Responsible for balancing business objectives against credit risk in accordance with policy and with direction from Credit Committees.

Drive operational excellence in the area of credit management by further integrating and optimizing the costs of CBC (Central Business Center), COC (Central Operations Center) and central team activities.

Ensure compliance to credit policies and standards.

INTERFACES:

Credit Management Interfaces: Across relevant classes of business, within finance and other Centers of Excellence.

Provide advice to external counterparties or customers where relevant.

Customer intimacy (through onsite/ virtual visits) and deep business and commercial knowledge, particularly with high risk/strategic customers.

CBC/COC and Customer Operations

Requires regular communications with business GMs, VPs and Finance

Direct interaction with Senior stakeholders across all functions

Interaction with Credit Project Delivery and Process Improvement groups

Pooling across EMEA Credit team as needed.

What we need from You

Requires sufficient level of leadership, maximizing commercial opportunities while taking acceptable credit risk

Skill to assess industry risk, external market and support sales/business with appropriate response (currency crisis, debt crisis, pandemic, etc.)

Ability to provide a more innovative and practical financing solution to help Shell manage credit risk, working capital, and support business to grow profitability with excellent knowledge of the market, competitors, JV partners and local banking infrastructure.

Roles requires significant negotiation experience in commercial credit environment

Strong influencing and negotiating skills with ability to make tough decisions and assume accountability for those decisions.

Prior Credit Management experience required

Strong presentation/ communication skills required

Automation and digital skills a plus

MBA/CA a plus
