Structured Trade and Export Finance (\xe2\x80\x9cSTEF\xe2\x80\x9d) specialises in delivering innovative structured finance solutions to help suppliers, buyers and borrowers promote their cross-border trade transactions and manage their finance and risk requirements. Deutsche Bank\xe2\x80\x99s STEF department is a world class arranger of Structured Trade & Export Finance globally and is a market leader in the EMEA region. STEF\xe2\x80\x99s principal product in the Middle East & African region is Export Credit Agency and Multi-Lateral Agency supported finance. The candidate will be involved in all aspects of the STEF, playing an essential transaction origination and structuration role with taking direct responsibility for developing and maintaining client relationship.

Your Role
The Structurer works closely with Sales/Coverage, Origination and/or Distribution and helps deliver tailored structured products/solutions/platforms to the Bank/clients, in line with the specified needs and in alignment with the strategy of the Bank/Division. The Structurer will develop solutions/platforms based on a good understanding of the Bank/client\xe2\x80\x99s needs and may participate in client meetings along with Sales/Coverage to advise on the key features of the structured product and help close the deal. They will also have responsibility for monitoring ongoing transactions and be involved in the review/drafting of marketing, deal execution materials and internal desk reports. The Structurer will also have responsibility for obtaining all required approvals through the NPA/NTA process. Where the role includes coordination oversight of a team of Structurers/Structuring Analysts, the Structurer will provide advice and guidance to the team on daily structuring activities/the more complex transactions/platforms and ensure adherence to all relevant internal policies and external legal/regulatory requirements.
In order to support the growth in the Middle East and Africa region (\xe2\x80\x9cMEA\xe2\x80\x9d), an Associate/AVP position is being offered based in Dubai.

Your Key Responsibilities
Support to the STEF Dubai team in the origination of new business opportunities which may involve the marketing, pricing, structuring and execution of new export finance facilities. Involved in the identification of new business opportunities and the preparation of pitch documents, presentations to clients and calculating transaction KPIs and all other risk/rewards returns. The assessment and management of financial and non financial risk in close-cooperation with control and 2nd functions is another key responsibility. This includes preparation of applications and presentations of transactions to the relevant decision forums such as TF&L Deal Council, CB Decision Forum and Reputational Risk Committees. Once mandates are secured, responsibility for all aspects of transaction execution, including but not limited to negotiations with borrowers and suppliers, managing the credit approval process, and undertaking documentation and legal due diligence with external law firms and drafting the loan documentation. Management and monitoring of the transactions with any counterparties such as clients, banking partners and the supplier during the life of the loan. Responsible for some assigned buyer markets and key client franchise of STEF business Close co-ordination with the global STEF networks and other Deutsche Bank Corporate Bank and Investment Bank business lines as well as relevant infrastructure functions during the origination and execution of new deals.

Your Skills and Qualifications
A degree from a recognised university, Business / Finance or Law. Excellent communication skills in English. Speaking French or Arabic would be a plus. Minimum 3 years related experience, gained within an Export Finance or similar team at a leading commercial or investment bank Knowledge of the Middle East & African export finance and financial markets and the wider emerging market landscape would be a distinct advantage Business driven approach \xe2\x80\x93 willingness and capabilitiy to grow into a client facing role Good communications and presentation skills Excellent team spirit Strong analytical and structuring skills, accuracy in output Organised, agile and with a good sense of priorities Versatile, proactive and adaptable, creative in problem solving Entrepreneurial mindset with the courage to challenge status quo and develop new ideas for revenues opportunities Sensitive to confidentiality, Compliance and ethical matters
