Job summary

MISSION:

Responsible for ensuring the integrity and reliability of our piping systems. Your responsibilities will include material selection, development of material specifications, and collaboration with project teams to optimize material performance in compliance with industry standards and project requirements.

TASKS:
Leading the selection of materials for piping systems, considering factors such as corrosion resistance, temperature, pressure, and project-specific requirements; Collaborating with engineering and design teams to ensure optimal material choices for various applications; Developing and maintaining comprehensive material specifications for piping components, including pipes, fittings, valves, and supports; Ensuring specifications align with industry standards, codes, and regulatory requirements; Collaborating with procurement teams to evaluate and select material vendors; Reviewing and approving material test certificates to ensure compliance with specified requirements; Implementing quality control measures to verify the conformity of received materials with specified requirements; Conducting inspections and audits to assess material quality and adherence to standards; Providing technical support to engineering and construction teams regarding materials-related queries and challenges; Collaborating with project managers to address material-related issues and facilitate effective solutions; Overseeing the control and management of material-related documentation, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and version control; Maintaining records of material specifications, test certificates, and other relevant documents. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Minimum Education BSc/BTech Degree in Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; MSc/MTech Degree is an advantage; Minimum Experience 8+ years in the industry (Offshore Oil & Gas facilities, drilling rigs, Shipyard); Saudi Aramco standards experience is required; Knowledge international codes and standards (ASME, API, ASTM). Knowledge international codes and standards. OTHER DETAILS: Location: Hamriyah, UAE; Contract duration: Long-term; Working schedule: 9 hours x 5 days; Starting date: February 2024.
